New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles

Today (Saturday) I went with my Au Pair cluster to see a Yankees game at Yankee Stadium. Being from a country where Baseball isn't played very much I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it. I was wrong.. I had so much fun. There was so much happening that I was kinda surprised that I still managed to actually watch the game.

Me being me I chose to go to go for the team that wasn't the same team everyone else was going for... So while most people were cheering on the Yankees to win I was secretly cheering on the Orioles to win.. and they did 5-3

At the end of the 3rd inning a few of us decided to go get some popcorn and this is what my popcorn came in:

That was a lot of popcorn.. I only managed to eat half of it. The other half got eaten my my LAR's son.

3 Months Already...?

Sunday April 14th marks the 3 month point of my year here in the USA. I have been having so much fun and making the most of things.

It doesn't seem like its been 3 months though, it has gone by so fast. However fast it has gone I have still managed to make some friends, do things that interest me and also thing that I had never done before.

It felt like waiting to get here took forever and no that I a here it seems to be flying past so fast that I might blink and miss it. There are many things that I am still yet to do in my year but I still have 9 months to do them, what ever they may be.

A Princess turns 5

In the past week we have had a lovely little girl become 5 yr old Princess.

We had lots of fun and we even played Pass the Parcel... We had the most beautiful cake and it tasted really good too...

A Train Ride with the Easter Bunny

For Easter with my host family we went on a train ride from a place called Phillipsburg, NJ and it ran along the edge of the Delaware River. On this train there was the Easter Bunny and lots of music. It was fun and they even had an Easter egg hunt (so different from back in New Zealand).
